Crypto Tax Calculators — Why the Answer Depends on Where You Live
The same $1,000 of trading profit produces a completely different bill depending on where you are taxed. Germany drops it out of scope entirely if you held for more than a year; India applies one flat rate no matter how long you held. The United States splits the rate band on whether you crossed 365 days, while Canada puts only half the gain into income. This category takes those diverging rules apart and gives each country its own calculator.
Using them is straightforward. Open the calculator for your country of residence, enter your buy amount, sell amount and holding period, add your annual income where it matters, and the taxable base and estimated tax appear immediately. Country-specific items such as annual exemptions, standard deductions and progressive bands are already built in. Rate values are kept in data files separate from the calculation logic, so when a rule changes only the number has to be swapped. No sign-up, no wallet connection, and the amounts you type stay in your browser.

Frequently Asked Questions
Can I copy these results straight onto my tax return?
No. These calculators are for sizing up the number, not for filing. A real return has to be built from your exchange transaction history and cost-basis records, and if the amount is significant it is worth having a tax professional check it.
I bought and sold in several instalments — which figures do I enter?
Work out your average acquisition price with the average price calculator first, then use that as the buy price. Note that some countries only accept FIFO, so check which cost-basis method your jurisdiction requires before filing.
If my exchange is overseas, which country taxes me?
Tax is generally decided by your own tax residence, not by where the exchange is incorporated. So even if you trade on an offshore venue, pick the calculator for the country where you are resident.
