What BAT actually is on-chain

Basic Attention is an ERC-20 deployed on Ethereum, at contract address 0x0d8775f648430679a709e98d2b0cb6250d2887ef. That address, not the ticker BAT, is what uniquely identifies this asset: anyone can deploy a second token calling itself BAT, but the contract is unforgeable. Verify it against etherscan.io before sending funds or approving a spend.
