Liquity USD (LUSD) market structure
Derived from this coin's own rank, all-time high and low, supply figures and category tags — not from a template. Every figure below is stated with the date or ratio it came from.
What LUSD actually is on-chain
Liquity USD is an ERC-20 deployed on Ethereum, at contract address 0x5f98805a4e8be255a32880fdec7f6728c6568ba0. That address, not the ticker LUSD, is what uniquely identifies this asset: anyone can deploy a second token calling itself LUSD, but the contract is unforgeable. Verify it against etherscan.io before sending funds or approving a spend.
Because it lives on Ethereum, LUSD is held in any EVM-compatible wallet, transfers are paid for in ETH rather than in LUSD itself, and secondary liquidity sits in Uniswap-style AMM pools. Two consequences follow for anyone setting alerts: you need ETH in the same wallet to move the token at all, and a quoted price taken from a pool is a pool price — it includes slippage that an order-book quote would not.
For LUSD the project publishes a public source repository and an active account as @LiquityProtocol. That is a partial paper trail — enough to check claims against, not enough to audit. None of it is a quality judgement about the asset; it is simply what can be independently checked before the chart is worth looking at.
Where LUSD sits in the market
At #733, Liquity USD is in the top of the small-cap band. Books at this depth are thin enough that one sizeable market order can move the printed price by several percent and retrace within minutes, which is precisely why a single static price target makes a poor trigger — you want a condition that survives one wick. Availability is concentrated in a handful of venues and volume-based delisting is a live risk rather than a theoretical one.
We are not currently receiving a live LUSD order book from any of the exchanges connected to this site, so no real-time quote is shown above. That is itself information: it usually means the pair is unlisted on the venues we track, or trading has been halted. LUSD is a Ethereum asset, so whatever turnover exists is most likely in Uniswap-style AMM pools rather than on a centralised book, and every fill there costs ETH in gas on top of the pool's own fee.
LUSD against its all-time high
Liquity USD's record high is $1.16, set on 2021-04-05. That high sits in a range where whole-cent and whole-unit levels are genuinely traded, which makes them usable as alert thresholds if a quote returns. It was set 6 years ago. A peak that old describes a supply structure and a holder base that have almost certainly turned over since. We are not quoting a drawdown from it because no tracked venue is giving us a live LUSD price — a stale or single-pool number would make that percentage look precise when it is not.
LUSD across its historical range
The recorded range is comparatively narrow: 1.29x between $0.8967 and $1.16. Either the price history is short, or the asset is designed not to move.
The record low of $0.8967 was printed on 2022-01-27 — 5 years ago. We have no live quote to measure the current distance from it.
LUSD supply and valuation data
Liquity USD sits just outside the band where circulating and total supply are independently verified, so we hold a valuation figure for LUSD but not an audited token count. What we do have is a fully diluted valuation of $28.8 million as of 2026-05-12. That is in the upper quartile of tracked assets by fully diluted value.
Because that valuation is a snapshot rather than a live figure, we deliberately do not back out a supply number from it — the price has moved since, and the division would produce a confident-looking token count that is simply wrong. Check the project's own explorer for the current supply before using any per-token valuation. The authoritative figure is the one etherscan.io reports for this contract.
What kind of asset LUSD is
Liquity USD is pegged to the US dollar, so the only price question that matters is whether the peg holds; trend and momentum readings on a dollar peg describe noise, not direction. It is backed by on-chain collateral rather than by bank deposits, so the peg's real dependency is the collateral ratio and the liquidation engine behind it. The number to watch is not the price but the health of the collateral during a fast drawdown in the assets backing it. It is small for a stablecoin, and at this size the peg depends heavily on one or two liquidity pools; thin-book depegs here say more about liquidity than about solvency.
CoinGecko files LUSD under 10 categories, including Stablecoins, Decentralized Finance (DeFi), USD Stablecoin, Polygon Ecosystem, Arbitrum Ecosystem. CoinGecko also records deployments on Polygon (531 tracked tokens), Arbitrum (391 tracked tokens), Ethereum (3,072 tracked tokens), so on-chain liquidity is split across several networks and the cheapest venue depends on which deployment you are trading.
How to set a Liquity USD alert that is worth receiving
Liquity USD is the ERC-20 at 0x5f98…8ba0 on Ethereum — high dated 2021-04-05 — rank #733. On this profile the condition that carries signal is a peg-deviation band of roughly ±0.5% of par, with RSI ignored entirely.
